A classic space to entertain

The story

After years of use and wear, these homeowners knew their pool & patio area needed a refresh to give it life again. They came to Backyard by Design with an idea for a refresh that grew into a dream for a complete redesign and partial home remodel. The result? One of our most stunning home resorts yet.

With only a few ideas of their own, the homeowners asked Backyard by Design to help them dream. A clean, classic, design was developed to accentuate the style of the house, deepen the pool, and allow for seamless indoor and outdoor living transition.

An extension in living

Initially planned as a cabana, the homeowners decided to turn it into a complete new home addition wrapping around the pool area. Two sets of solid iron doors connect the inside and outside, hung ball-bearing hinges so they will never sag, with beautiful mirrored glass to reflect the sun and extend the space.

A perfect event space

A glass-tile sun ledge, rustic natural stone waterfall, and a cedar and stone pergola bring natural elements into the refined space while a complete indoor/outdoor audio visual system allows for seamless entertaining indoors and out.

The resulting space is so perfect for entertaining, the family comfortably hosted 200 people for their son’s wedding. Thanks to its versatile design and refined finish, the homeowners have a space to create memories for years to come.
