The story

This homeowner had worked closely with Backyard By Design before and expected their new home backyard redesign to be as easy as before. This one proved more difficult to get the vision for, but ‘midnight inspiration’ proved to be the key. Their primary goal was an all year round outdoor living experience that would work for entertaining and comfort rain or shine.

The homeowner had very high standards. Everything was selected with care, and designed for entertainment. The outdoor television, the kitchen with the flat top griddle, a wood burning grill, and a bar. The effect of the RGB lights means they can change colors depending on the desired mood. The motorized shades for every opening in the cabana, means, it is easy to walk right outside to begin enjoying the yard any time of day.

Personalized entertainment

With a lot size of 2 acres, there was a good amount of space to work with. A total of pool-side 9 water features along with a custom bridge complete with a curtain style rain waterfall, four distinctive fire features, and natural stone, combine to pull the space together and flow cohesively with the house. 

The homeowners enjoy their backyard and the great outdoors every day because of its year-round versatility.

A year round experience

Unilock pavers encompass the pool area, while natural stone veneer adds a touch of timeless beauty. The Bullfrog hot tub cleverly creates the illusion of spilling into the pool. The entire space creates an entertainment ecosystem for the entire family to use daily and year round.
